Together with my husband, Michael, we decided to establish a joint gift annuity with the Missionary Oblates in 1972. One thought behind our decision was that we wanted to be assured we would be prayed for after our deaths and now I know because of the annuity with the Missionary Oblates, Michael is faithfully remembered.
It has turned out to be a terrific benefit for me since I have been a widow for many years. I am always grateful when I receive my annuity check from the Missionary Oblates.

I am 90 years old and live alone. One way I like to spend my time is by helping missionaries all over the world. I feel like I can do this through the Oblates. Since 1991, I have obtained four gift annuities with the Oblates and I am very proud to be able to help them with their work among the poor.

Several years ago we became interested in Our Lady of the Snows and the wonderful work the Oblates do throughout the world. We sent small contributions and visited the Shrine many times. Our interest continued to grow and we decided to make a more significant gift. We learned about the Missionary Oblates Gift Annuity Program and the generous yield they offered. In the fall of 2001, we donated stock in exchange for a gift annuity. Our hearts are full to this day because of our decision.
We hope our contribution has helped the Oblates in their wonderful work among God’s people everywhere. We especially thank the priests and lay people of the charitable gifts department who treated us so warmly and helped us through the decision and the details of the gift annuity. We feel we have made some lifelong friends. May God bless them all as they go about their work.
