Dear Friend,
When a man expresses an interest in joining the Missionary Oblates,
he takes part in one of our “Come-and-See” programs. The potential
candidate is introduced to the Missionary Oblates and to our many and
diverse ministries.
As a member of the Oblate Mission Friendship Club, you have come to see the many wonderful
ways you are blessing the Oblates and the people we serve. Because of your prayers and support, men
here in the United States and throughout the world
are given the opportunity to discern if they are called
to serve God as a Missionary Oblate priest or brother.
While the Church has struggled in recent years
with declining vocations, the Oblates have been able
to avoid this trend. Last year 725 men throughout
the world were taking part in Oblate formation
programs. That was an increase of 21 men from the
previous year!
Vocations are the lifeblood of any religious community. I ask that you please keep our Oblate
seminarians in your prayers as they come to believe how God is inviting them to serve Him and
His people.
In Christ’s love,
Fr. John Madigan,O.M.I.
Oblate Director
You are a Missionary!
Your support for the Missionary Oblates extends to the poor and most abandoned in
the world.
As a member of the Mission Friendship
Club, remember: A worldwide network of
Oblate priests and brothers is praying for you
and your family every day.
Thank you for your kindness |
