“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him,
and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give
thanks to Him in song.”
(Psalm 28:7)

Life is a river
A stream winding through
With twists and turns leading up and down,
Bringing an ever-changing view.

Sometimes the current’s steady,
Swiftly flowing along with ease,
The water so calm and peaceful,
As it gently rocks against the breeze.

And yet sometimes the current
Begins to rage and crash,
Swelling its dark waters
And churning with every splash.

For there are times when blessings
Overflow my heart and soul,
I am so thankful for every chance
To experience life to its full.

But then hard times erupt,
Every moment’s filled with strife,
And I am so unsure
If I can make it in this life.

But no matter how the river flows
I know I’m guided from above.
I am grateful to my Lord, my God,
Who strengthens me with His love.
