Oblate Prayer of Thanks

When St. Eugene De Mazenod founded the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate to serve the poorest of the poor in missions throughout the world, he knew that it would not be possible without the prayers and support of others. For nearly 200 years, Oblate missionary work has thrived and spread Christ’s love throughout the world, thanks to the compassion and generosity of benefactors.

Today, the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate continues this tradition by providing a foundation of prayer and support for the 4,500 Missionary Oblates around the world. In gracious thanks for the prayers and support of their benefactors, the Oblates began a special prayer campaign for their donors in 1947.

That ritual of spiritual gratitude continues today. Oblates throughout the world are remembering their supporters in daily prayers and Masses. Each Province has the opportunity to hold special Masses, so that there is never a day that passes in which a Mass of thanks will not be celebrated on behalf of those who have made the work of the Oblates possible.
