“Cracking the Code:” |

The Book of Revelation may be one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible. During Lent, the Shrine will host an in-depth Bible Study series to discuss the context and message of this cryptic book. “The Book of Revelation is filled with symbolism,” said Fr. Tom Ovalle, O.M.I. Shrine Director. “We will look at deciphering this symbolism and how to crack the code.” The Bible Study will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on February 23 and March 1, 8, 15, 22 in the Shrine’s Guild Center. The presenters will be Fr. Ovalle and Mark Etling, Donor Development Manager at the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate and a part-time theology teacher at St. Louis University. Each night of the Bible Study will involve a presentation on a specific part of the Book of Revelation, as well as dialogue and discussion. For more information about the Book of Revelation Bible Study, please contact Judy Williamson, Spiritual Programs Coordinator, at 618-394-6270 or jwilliamson@snows.org, or snows.org/revelation for online registration. |
