Lighting the Way Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows! The Way of Lights Christmas Display will once again grace our property with its profound beauty, meaningful story, and activities for all. Over one-million lights will illuminate the Shrine grounds beginning on November 15, telling the timeless story of Mary and Joseph’s journey into Bethlehem. This is not only a wonderful learning experience for “little angels,” but also the perfect way for families to join together to welcome this glorious season. The light display will be shown through January 6, 2008. Once pilgrims have experienced the beauty of the story of Christ’s birth, told through the glistening lights on display, many more Christian-based activities take place indoors through January 1. Inside the Visitor’s Center at the Shrine, guests of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities including: NEW this year will be a Laser Show shown in the Guild Center. This colorful show was made exclusively for the Shrine, telling the story of Christ’s birth through a special script and an array of lights. “It spreads the message of the gospel in a non-traditional way,” said Tina Huck, Events Coordinator for the Shrine. Bring your family together and celebrate Christ’s birth in an enriching and fun environment! For more information, please visit www.wayoflights.org.
