The name of this exhibit, Tota Pulchra, was derived from the Latin name of the hymn for the feast of the Immaculate Conception. The phrase means “All Fair” and “Totally Beautiful.” The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows has tried to capture this theme with the exhibit. With artwork from the greatest painters throughout time, Tota Pulchra exemplifies the beauty and love that radiates from our Blessed Mother. |
