Dear Friend,
I recently received a prayer petition from a 92-year-old woman named Josephine. She asked that I pray for a family member who was sick. At the end of her request Josephine wrote, “I believe highly in prayer. It’s better than medicine sometimes!”
Is there someone in your life whom you would like me to pray for? Please click here so my fellow Oblates and I can pray for this special person in your life.
Also, having a candle lit for a loved one is a beautiful way to express your hope for someone dealing with an illness. When you use the special Get Well Cards pictured below, I will have a Votive Candle lit in honor of your loved one here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, or a Healing Candle lit at the Sacred Grotto in Lourdes, France.
You may also want to select a Get Well Gift in gratitude for your donation. Each gift is a reminder of the healing power of prayer.
Please know that the Missionary Oblates and I are praying for your loved ones who are ill. As Josephine reminds us about prayer – “It’s better than medicine sometimes.”
In Jesus Christ and Mary Immaculate,

Fr. John Madigan, O.M.I. Oblate Director
P.S. You can have a loved one who is ill prayed for by submitting their name (first name and last initial only) to our new Get Well Prayer Chain.
