July 21 was a day of celebration for the Missionary Oblates, as four young men were welcomed into the Oblate family as priests in Lusaka, Zambia.  Bishop Michael Pfeifer, O.M.I. of San Angelo, Texas presided at the ordination Mass and ceremony.

The five-hour celebration included lively dancing and singing between moments of prayer.  Mary Immaculate Parish was filled with hundreds of Oblates and faithful friends who wanted to share in the special moment.

The newly ordained are Fr. Humphrey Milimo, O.M.I., Fr. Chibwe Tembo, O.M.I., Fr. Sydney Musonda, O.M.I., Fr. Emmanuel Mulenga, O.M.I.  Redemptorist Fr. Julius Masaiti was also among the ordinandi.

The Missionary Oblates of the U.S. Province established the Zambia mission in 1984.  Since then the Zambian Delegation has experienced tremendous growth and vitality.
